   Lighthouse collectibles are the usual items sought out when when beginning a nautical theme collection. These can include lighhouse figurines, posters,clocks and more. Lighthouse figurines are made by many manufactures, Harbour Lights being a favorite of many collectors.

   A couple  famous artists well known for their work with nautical themes are Thomas Kinkade and Jim Shore, you can’t go wrong collecting anything by these wonderful artists. I hope to do an in depth article on each of them soon. There are a lot of ways to find lighthouses for your collection, you could start with yard sales, flea markets and antique stores. My favorite has always been those little seaside shops, a great way to pass a day browsing. As I no longer live on the coast my browsing takes place on the internet, a great place to find your nautical collectibles, no travel involved.
